Preiser 16513 recreates a horse-drawn 10.5cm light field howitzer (leFH 18) of the former German Army in HO scale (1:87), a key artillery piece of the German Reich in the Era II (1920s-1945) period. This model captures the leFH 18 configured for horse traction, reflecting the reality that much German artillery relied on horse teams throughout WWII, and it makes an authentic, purposeful addition to any Eastern or Western Front diorama.
Item 16513 is supplied as an unpainted plastic model kit to build and paint, giving modelers control over assembly and finish of this detailed field gun. Building 16513 yourself allows accurate placement within a firing line or on the march, and the bare-plastic construction is ideal for realistic base coats and weathering at true 1:87 proportions.
