Preiser 16527 models a 10.5cm light field howitzer leFH 18 M of the former German Army in HO scale (1:87), an Era II (1920s-1945) artillery piece distinguished by its muzzle brake and accompanying ammunition limber. The leFH 18 M variant improved range with its muzzle brake, and this model reproduces that later configuration together with the limber used to carry ammunition to the gun position.
Item 16527 is supplied as an unpainted plastic model kit to build and paint, letting you assemble the howitzer and its ammunition limber and finish them to your own standard. The added limber makes 16527 well suited to a complete artillery position or a gun-on-the-move scene, and the bare-plastic construction is ideal for realistic painting and weathering at true 1:87 proportions.
